Summary

Deputy Nursery Manager

Up to £35,900 per year | 40 Hours per Week

 

This Good Ofsted-rated nursery is set within a purpose-built building, with bright, spacious playrooms creating a warm and inviting environment for children. Outdoors, there’s even more to discover, with mud kitchens, climbing frames and vegetable patches giving children plenty of opportunities to get active, explore and learn through hands-on experiences.

 

We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to work alongside the Nursery Manager, supporting the team, maintaining high standards and helping the setting continue to provide a positive Early Years experience for every child.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A

    full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above

  • Previous Deputy Nursery Manager experience – essential

  • Strong knowledge of the

    EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements

  • Proven experience leading, supporting and developing nursery teams

  • Confidence with staff deployment, ratios and the day-to-day running of a nursery

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • The ability to maintain high standards while managing the demands of a busy setting

  • Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues

  • A positive, hands-on approach to leadership

Supporting the Nursery

  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the setting

  • Lead, support and motivate practitioners across the nursery

  • Help maintain and build upon the nursery’s

    Good Ofsted standards

  • Support the delivery of high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS

  • Oversee staff deployment, ratios and daily routines

  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance, health and safety

  • Support staff development through guidance, feedback and ongoing training

  • Ensure the

    indoor and outdoor environments remain engaging, purposeful and well organised

  • Build strong relationships with children and their families

  • Deputise for the Nursery Manager and provide confident leadership in their absence
