Summary

Salary: XCET 10 £45,117 - £48,977 (FTE: £48,698 - £52,864) per annum, dependant on experience.

Hours: 36 hours per week, minimum 42 weeks per year – flexible working/term-time considered.

Location: Based centrally in Chertsey.

Start Date: ASAP. The Xavier Catholic Education Trust (Xavier CET) are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to join the central team.

The role acts as the Trust’s lead for financial accounting, statutory reporting, compliance, capital accounting, treasury and cashflow management. It also provides technical accounting guidance to school and central finance colleagues, supporting the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and controls. The ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant with a passion for delivering high quality results in all aspects of finance. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIPFA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and reporting experience.Experience of budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cashflow management.Experience of coordinating statutory accounts, audit and regulatory reporting.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
