Yard/FLT Operative
to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Smethwick.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a supportive team.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 17:00
Overtime available with premium rates
About the Role
This is a varied position combining yard duties (70%) and FLT work (30%), with most of your day spent outdoors (full PPE and clothing provided).
Picking gas cylinders using pick sheets
Loading and unloading stillages
Safely securing cylinders using ratchet straps
Operating a Counterbalance FLT to load/unload HGV vehicles
Assisting customers with handling cylinders of varying weights
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard
Supporting with general duties as required
What We're Looking For
Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
Strong work ethic and reliability
Willingness to work overtime when required
Good communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
Team player with a positive attitude
