Transactional Finance Lead (Systems & AP)

Key responsibilities

Lead and develop a transactional finance team, promoting high performance and continuous improvement

Take ownership of financial systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and effective system use

Oversee the delivery of accurate and timely payments, maintaining strong financial controls

Support audit processes, risk management, and fraud prevention activities

Provide guidance on statutory and regulatory requirements including VAT, CIS, and IR35

Produce financial reports and analysis to support decision-making

Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations

Work closely with stakeholders to improve and embed best practice across purchase-to-pay processes

What you'll need to succeed

Part Qualified or AAT Level 4

Experience working in a similar role

Experience in Finance Operations and ERP Systems

Strong knowledge of P2P processes

Team leadership experience

Have experience working in the public sector
