Summary
Hours: Part time (exact hours TBC)
Location: Visiting clients in their own homes throughout Arun & Chichester, including the surrounding areas across West Sussex, with home working and office working as needed
Contract type: 12 months fixed term (with possibility of an extension)
Salary: TBC based on agreed hours

Job description: Arun & Chichester Citizens Advice are pleased to have received funding from The Energy Redress Scheme to tackle fuel poverty in West Sussex and deliver a vital home visiting service, where our clients will receive essential energy efficiency advice and support.
We are now recruiting a home visitor for the Home Improvement Service (HIS) to provide high quality, effective and efficient energy advice to clients in vulnerable situations who require, due to capability, complexity of the issue, a home visit to support with tackling fuel poverty. The project aims to empower individuals to make conscious efforts to change energy behaviours, understand how their actions impact the environments and how they can improve the fabric of their home to enable a future where they can live safe and well, whilst reducing their carbon footprint.
The advisers will be required to give full advice on:
• Damp and mould
• Effective use of heating systems
• Energy Performance Certificates
• Small energy saving measures
• Retrofit measures and grants available
• Reducing carbon emissions
• How tenants can effectively communicate with their landlord for repair issues
• The Local Authority and Ombudsman and act on the client's behalf where necessary
