This is a highly visible role where you will act as the key point of contact between the customer and the business, ensuring delivery commitments are achieved and potential supply issues are proactively managed.

We're particularly interested in individuals from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environment who have experience managing customer schedules, EDI releases, inventory, supply chain risks and delivery performance whilst building strong relationships with OEM customers.

The Logistics and Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for:

• Manage customer schedules, forecasts and EDI releases, ensuring requirements are accurately reflected within planning systems

• Develop production and capacity plans to support customer demand whilst maintaining operational efficiency

• Monitor inventory levels and material availability to ensure continuity of supply and prevent shortages

• Analyse customer demand, inventory and supply chain data to identify risks and opportunities

• Manage customer portals and maintain accurate planning information

• Track and report KPI performance, including OTIF, inventory, supplier delivery performance and service levels

• Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Quality teams to ensure customer commitments are met

• Proactively identify and resolve supply chain issues before they impact production or customer deliveries

• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on service, delivery performance and cost reduction

We are looking for someone who has experience in:

• Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive manufacturing environment

• Direct customer-facing experience, managing OEM customer schedules, delivery requirements and supply chain communications

• Experience responding to changing customer demand and production requirements

• Strong planning experience within logistics, materials, production control or supply chain

• Experience using EDI schedules, customer portals and ERP/MRP systems

• Strong analytical skills with experience monitoring KPIs, inventory and delivery performance

• The ability to investigate shortages, identify risks and work cross-functionally to resolve issues

• Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to challenge, influence and build relationships internally and externally
