This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient-centred care and supportingindividualsthroughouttheircancerpathway.Thesuccessfulcandidatewillplayakeyroleinprovidingspecialistnursingsupporttopatientsundergoinginvestigation,treatmentandfollow-upforheadandneckcancers.

Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will become an integral part ofaservicethatiscommittedtodeliveringhigh-quality,holisticcarewhileensuringpatientsandtheirfamiliesreceiveexpertguidanceandsupportateverystageoftheirjourney.

• Undertakespecialisttelephonetriageandassessmentforpatientswithsuspectedorconfirmedheadandneckcancer.

• Provideexpertnursingsupportwithinheadandneckoutpatientclinics.

• Actasakeyworkerforpatients,coordinatingcareacrossthecancerpathway.

• Supportpatientsandfamiliesduringcomplexandsensitiveconversations,includingreceivingandunderstandingdifficultdiagnoses.

• Participateinclinicswherediagnosisandtreatmentplansarediscussed,ensuringpatientshaveaccesstoappropriateinformationandsupport.

• Deliverholisticneedsassessmentsanddeveloppersonalisedcareplans.

• Work collaboratively withconsultants,alliedhealthprofessionals,speechandlanguagetherapists,dietitiansandwidercancerteams.

• Contributetoservicedevelopment,auditandqualityimprovementinitiatives.
