About the Role
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will play an essential part in ensuring our guests receive outstanding service in a friendly and welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create memorable dining experiences that reflect the high standards of the Marriott brand.
Key Responsibilities
Welcoming guests warmly and assisting with seating arrangements.
Taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
Serving food and beverages in line with health and safety standards.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of dining and service areas.
Supporting the team during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.
Handling payments and operating the till where required.
Adhering to all food hygiene and safety regulations.
Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to meet guest needs.
Reporting any issues or feedback promptly to management.
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in a similar role within Catering & Hospitality is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A friendly and approachable manner with strong customer service focus.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of food hygiene and health & safety principles is advantageous.
