Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our expanding Teledermatology service. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of high‑quality dermatology imaging across all Teledermatology image‑capture hubs within the Trust.

Our current Teledermatology hubs are based in Bilston, Wolverhampton, Pelsall, Pendeford and Darlaston. The post holder must be able to travel to and work across all of these locations to ensure smooth clinic flow and timely patient assessment.

The successful candidate will join the established Dermatology nursing team based at New Cross Hospital and Cannock Chase Hospital. In addition to Teledermatology duties, the post holder will be rostered to support clinics or surgical lists on either hospital site as required.

Support the smooth running of Dermatology clinics, ensuring consistent patient flow.

Assist in Minor Surgery, including small procedures and supporting the team during larger surgeries/Mohs.

Maintain clean, safe and well‑organised clinic areas in line with infection‑prevention standards.

Participate in departmental audits and support stock management and ordering.

Use clinical and administrative computer systems confidently (training provided).

Support Teledermatology clinics across image‑capture hubs inBilston, Wolverhampton, Pelsall, Pendeford and Darlaston(locations may change as the service expands).

Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring correct identification, privacy, dignity and readiness for photography.

Assist the medical photographer with patient positioning, organising the next patient and maintaining efficient workflow.

Manage patient movement through clinics, coordinating waiting areas and communicating delays to staff.

Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and equipment readiness in Telederm rooms.

Provide reassurance and basic support to patients, escalating clinical or safeguarding concerns appropriately.

Work flexibly across Dermatology services, including supporting clinics or surgical lists atNew Cross HospitalorCannock Chase Hospitalwhen rostered.
