Summary

A law firm in Central London are looking for a locum conveyancing solicitor to help out with maternity cover starting as soon as you are able for a period of approximately 6 months.

Role overview:

·Position: Locum Conveyancing Solicitor

·Duration: 6 months (maternity leave cover)

·Start date: Immediately

Key requirements:

·Qualified Solicitor with strong residential experience - commercial property experience will be a distinct advantage

·Proven supervision experience, including sign-off of files for compliance and accounts purposes

·Experience conducting file reviews and auditing files across a caseload

·Lease extension/enfranchisement experience

·Comfortable managing and supervising a broader team caseload, not solely their own files

·Able to pick up and progress an existing caseload quickly, with minimal handover time

The successful candidate will be stepping into a role that includes Supervision Accounts Sign Off, which requires an experienced conveyancer given its regulatory and compliance significance. They will also need to assist with the existing caseload, including lease extension matters and file auditing, which currently requires additional capacity. As such, the firm are looking for someone who can take on this responsibility from day one with minimal ramp-up time.

The role is largely remote working although you will need to attend team meetings in Central London on a monthly basis.
