Data is at the heart of everything DWP does, helping to inform policy, improve services and deliver better outcomes for our customers. DWP Digital is dedicated to developing and delivering world class digital services that benefit society today and improve the lives of future generations.

As part of the Chief Data Office within DWP's Data and Analytics community, you will support high priority data initiatives, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and have opportunities to work across different data governance projects over time.
You will also be supported to develop your skills through on the job learning, professional development opportunities and industry recognised qualifications.
If you're an experienced Data Governance professional who enjoys driving improvements, influencing stakeholders and working across a diverse portfolio of priorities, we'd love to hear from you.
- Lead and deliver data governance priorities that support the effective management, protection and legitimate use of data across DWP.
- Design and implement innovative solutions to address data governance challenges, meet business needs and support Chief Data Office (CDO) priorities.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders across DWP, building strong relationships to drive engagement and deliver improved data outcomes.
- Act as a subject matter expert in data governance and related disciplines, providing specialist advice, guidance and supporting the continuous improvement of frameworks, standards and best practice.

There will be opportunities to work across different areas within our Chief Data Office for example:
- The roll out of DWP’s Data Ownership model, working with stakeholders to gain buy in, understanding their data maturity and support needs, as well as facilitating access to subject matter expertise.
- The iteration of our Data Governance Framework, designing and updating policies and supporting Data Governance structures, as well as monitoring compliance with policy and legislative requirements.
- Implementation of Data Quality Framework providing targeted support, advice and guidance to enable the business to understand the quality of their data.
- Working across government to implement the cross government data initiatives.
