Day Schedule:-

This role operates strictly on arota basisand doesnot offer fixed shifts. You must be willing to work12-hour shifts, which are standard across most wards. These shifts include a mix ofdays, nights,weekends, and bank holidays, scheduled as part of a rolling rota.
Note all applicants will receive an invitation prior to the attendance of the event on completion of their application via NHS jobs with confirmation of the attendee slot.
You will be responsible for delivering individual patient care and will be expected to support the team leaders and the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.
You will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic, to help improve both the patient experience and the nursing care. You will be working in an environment that will be a challenge to your organisational skills and one that will enhance your knowledge of various specialties
This role is offered on a progression scheme where you will undertake the Care Certificate which approximately take 6 months to complete where your pay band will increase.
Should you be selected for a role within our Maternity Services, you will be supported to following a Band 2–3 Progression Programme, the programme offers a structured and supportive pathway for Maternity Care Assistants (MCA) to develop into Band 3 Maternity Support Workers (MSW), typically within 12 months. The programme provides a strong focus on both maternity and neonatal care, combining hands-on clinical experience with competency-based assessments, mandatory training, and e-learning aligned to the national MSW framework.

• Caring and communication with kindness and compassion
• Personal Care including catheter care and Incontinence (This includes bodily fluids and faeces)
• Nutrition and Hydration support
• Pressure Area Care
• Collect specimens (routine bodily fluids only)
• Moving and handling
• Documentation including food & fluid charts and outcome sheets.
• Environmental maintenance
• Performing care in line with risk assessments and care plans
• Ensure all clinical rooms are stocked up with appropriate clinical forms and patient information sheets.
• Assist with the preparation of medical notes to facilitate the running of clinics.
• Escort to other departments (except theatre)
• Instigate Emergency procedure.
• Promote person centred values and provide support for patient’s wellbeing and fulfilment.
• After Death Care
