Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25.  Additional payments may also apply depending on location.  

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.

The table shows the periods of time in the week we’d like you to be available to work — the availability windows. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you. You will be responsible for

Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

â-ª Carrying out clean as you go routines, using the clean as you go tools.

 â-ª Keeping aisles clear of congestion when replenishing or picking products.

â-ª Working in a clean, tidy and organised manner and taking any equipment that needs cleaning out of use.

â-ª Following the warehouse/storage plan, putting everything back in its place.

â-ª Ensuring trays used for picking are clean, taking dirty trays out of use to be cleaned.

Regularly replenishing products so customers can get what they want:

â-ª Filling products that matter most to our customers first if there are gaps.

â-ª Making sure I know where products have moved to after merchandising activity.

â-ª Pulling stock forward and removing cardboard so products are easily visible.

â-ª Keeping the warehouse organised, putting everything back where it belongs.

â-ª Completing any stock routines accurately and on time.

â-ª Picking online customers shopping accurately, with the best possible quality and freshness, completing substitutions as required.

â-ª Making sure items picked are of the highest standard of quality, with the best possible date for fresh products.

You will need

â-ª Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to make sure our store is the best it can be for customers.

â-ª Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say ‘Thank you’.

â-ª Acting quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embracing change within my store.

â-ª Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for me.

â-ª Sharing ideas with my Manager and other colleagues on how we can improve our store for customers.
