Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Day Shift – 37.5 hours)

Graduate QA Assistant – Food Manufacturing

Are you a recent Food Science or Food Technology graduate looking to start your career in quality assurance or food safety?

We are hiring a Graduate QA Assistant / Graduate Quality Assistant to join an award-winning, family-owned food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in food safety, HACCP, and quality systems while working within a supportive and growing technical team.

You’ll report to the Technical Manager and receive training across all aspects of quality assurance and food production compliance.

Key Responsibilities – Graduate Quality Role

·Monitor food production and manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards

·Complete and maintain QA documentation, records, and traceability systems

·Assist with internal audits, hygiene inspections, and GMP checks

·Support customer complaint investigations and non-conformance reporting

·Assist with microbiological testing and quality checks

·Contribute to continuous improvement and product development projects

About You – Graduate Requirements

·Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrician or a related subject

·Strong interest in food safety, quality assurance, or technical roles

·Knowledge of HACCP or food hygiene principles (academic or practical)

·Excellent organisation, communication, and IT skills

·Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn within a food manufacturing environment

Desirable (Not Essential)

·Placement year or internship in food manufacturing / FMCG

·HACCP Level 2 or Food Safety certification

·Exposure to quality assurance, audits, or technical standards (e.g. BRC)
