Summary

Join a reputable main dealer in Northampton as a Vehicle Technician. The Vehicle Technician role is integral to maintaining high standards of vehicle service and repair, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within a dedicated team.

- Consistent working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with 5 Saturday mornings per year paid as overtime and a day off during the week

Duties:

- Conduct servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance on vehicles

- Complete comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs

- Perform mechanical and electrical work to high standards

- Diagnose and rectify faults effectively

- Ensure all work is completed accurately within specified timescales

- Maintain excellent workmanship and safety standards

- Identify additional repair needs and upselling opportunities

- Deliver professional customer service both independently and within a team setting

Requirements:

- Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician

- Proven experience working within automotive workshops, with main dealer experience advantageous

- MOT Tester qualification would be beneficial

- Strong mechanical and technical knowledge

- Excellent attention to detail and workmanship quality

- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-orientation

- Motivation to develop technical skills and progress within the business

- Experience in independent garages or other automotive environments considered
