Summary
Key Responsibilities As a Salaried GP at Park Green Surgery, you will work as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to our practice population while contributing to the ongoing success and development of the practice. Clinical Responsibilities Provide safe, effective, and compassionate medical care to the registered patient population. Deliver services in accordance with the PMS contract and support the objectives of the Primary Care Network (PCN). Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions. Prescribe medication in line with local and national prescribing guidance. Manage long-term conditions and contribute to the achievement of Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) targets. Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional standards and practice policies. Undertake telephone triage and duty doctor sessions on a rotational basis. Participate in home visits and shared on-call responsibilities. Action clinical correspondence, test results, referrals, and prescription requests in a timely manner. Practice Development and Quality Improvement Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the equitable sharing of workload and responsibilities. Contribute to the delivery of quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and service development projects. Support the achievement of practice objectives and strategic goals. Lead or contribute to specific clinical areas of responsibility, including QOF and enhanced services. Adhere to clinical guidelines, governance frameworks, and best practice recommendations. Participate actively in practice and multidisciplinary team meetings. Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and teamwork across the practice. Review and comply with all practice policies and procedures. Professional Responsibilities Maintain GMC registration and comply with all professional and regulatory requirements. Participate fully in annual appraisal and revalidation processes. Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and lifelong learning. Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient care. Additional Responsibilities The successful candidate may also be invited to: Participate in clinical audit activity and service evaluations. Contribute to local and PCN initiatives aimed at improving patient care and service delivery. Participate in the review of significant events and near misses, including undertaking root cause analysis where appropriate. Support training, mentoring, and educational activities within the practice where applicable.
