Summary

Main Duties As a Patient Service Manager you will provide day-to-day support across a wide range of operational and administrative functions, working closely with the Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, Operations Manager and Admin Manager. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the Admin Manager with the smooth running of the practice's administrative functions, including Advice & Guidance processes, responding to patient queries and referrals. Overseeing the practice's patient triage process, supporting the bookings team & GPs to ensure timely responses and excellent patient service. Assisting the Operations Manager with premises management, including building maintenance, room allocation, and compliance requirements. Supporting the Deputy Practice Manager and Practice Manager with complaints management, QOF recalls, practice performance targets and the delivery of Quality Improvement (QI) projects. Helping to ensure the practice remains compliant with Information Governance, CQC standards and other regulatory requirements and ensuring all staff members are up to date with their mandatory training. Supporting the induction and onboarding of new staff members, including trainee clinical staff. Contributing to new projects, service developments and continuous improvement initiatives across the practice. Helping to train and develop all non clinical staff across the practice. This role is varied and no two days are the same. While the responsibilities outlined above reflect the core duties of the position, they are not exhaustive. As part of a small and supportive management team, you will be expected to provide flexible support across the practice as operational needs arise. About You You will have: Essential experience working within a GP practice. Excellent organisational and time management skills. The ability to prioritise competing demands and work effectively under pressure. Strong IT and administrative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A proactive, flexible and positive approach to work, with a willingness to support colleagues across different areas of the practice.
