Summary

Contract: 12 months fixed term contract

Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys working collaboratively with senior managers to deliver practical, forward-thinking people solutions?

South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council are looking for a Senior Human Resources Officer to join our HR and Organisational Development team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering our HR Service Plan and Organisational Development Plan, while helping other services achieve their business objectives.

You will provide professional advice and support across a broad range of areas, including employee relations, organisational development, service improvement, recruitment and retention, learning and development, and employment best practice. You will also help develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring that our approach remains consistent with Council strategies and current employment legislation.

We are looking for someone who is an enthusiastic HR professional with HR Business Partner experience, a proven track record of delivering solutions, and the ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise a varied workload.
