Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced

Sales Executive to join our dedicated team at

Fulham Pier.

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious about the commercial opportunity behind every enquiry and is motivated to convert, grow and develop business.

You will be responsible for maximising the value of every sales opportunity, from the initial enquiry through to conversion and beyond. You will be expected to understand who our clients are, research their organisations, identify key decision-makers and influencers, uncover additional requirements and actively look for opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and develop repeat business.

What you’ll do:

Financial Management:

  • Own enquiries from initial contact through to conversion, following the agreed sales journey and SOPs.
  • Proactively follow up all opportunities within agreed timescales.
  • Qualify opportunities effectively and understand the client's objectives, budget, decision-making process and timescales.
  • Take ownership of conversion rather than simply responding to enquiries.
  • Identify barriers to conversion and proactively overcome them.
  • Achieve agreed sales, conversion and profit targets.

Account Development:

  • Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell and increase the value of confirmed business.
  • Develop relationships beyond the initial contact to create repeat and incremental business.
  • Identify high-value accounts and develop appropriate account plans.
  • Look for opportunities to introduce other Fulham Pier products, spaces and experiences.
  • Maintain regular contact with key clients and proactively generate future opportunities.

New Business:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Research organisations and contacts to understand their potential value and identify relevant decision-makers.
  • Use inbound enquiries, existing clients, networking, market intelligence and prospecting activity to generate new opportunities.
  • Challenge yourself to identify “what else could we win from this client?” rather than treating each enquiry as a standalone transaction.
  • Build a healthy pipeline of future business through proactive sales activity.

Process:

  • Follow all agreed sales SOPs, processes, pricing structures and approval procedures.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline stages, activity and next actions.
  • Ensure all enquiries, proposals and opportunities are followed up within agreed timescales.
  • Use Thynk, Creventa and other commercial tools accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and provide clear visibility of pipeline and future revenue.
  • Work closely with Operations, Events and Marketing to ensure a seamless client journey and maximise future commercial opportunities

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in proactive sales, business development or account management, preferably within the hospitality or events industry.
  • Strong commercial acumen to grow and maximise sales in a target-driven environment.
  • Self-starter with the initiative to drive sales ideas.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience in budget management and measuring sales performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong knowledge of the local market is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
  • Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable sales targets.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
