Summary

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Executive Director of People and Workforce Development to lead the People and Learning Culture Directorate for an exceptional organisation based in the Kirkby area. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading specialist organisations

This organisation is a leading care company supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism across the North West, providing a wide range of specialist services and support to help improve the lives and wellbeing of the people it serves

As the Executive Director of People and Workforce your key responsibilities include:

• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the People and Learning Culture Strategy, ensuring clear alignment with organisational strategy and operational plans

• Provide strategic advice and constructive challenge to the Chief Executive Officer, Board, Executive Team and senior leaders on people, workforce, culture and organisational learning matters

• Lead the People and Learning Culture Directorate to deliver high-quality and effective services across employee relations, recruitment, retention, learning and development, workforce planning, organisational development, pay and reward

• Develop a modern, inclusive and values-led culture in which staff are supported, engaged, accountable and able to contribute to continuous improvement

• Provide executive leadership for organisational change, including restructures, service redesign, and workforce transformation and new operating models

• Lead strategic workforce planning to ensure the organisation has the right people, skills, capacity and leadership capability to meet current and future service needs

• Lead strategies that strengthen employee engagement, retention, wellbeing, recognition and the overall employee experience

• Act as a trusted executive advisor and senior leader, contributing to organisational strategy, corporate decision-making, risk management and effective governance

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Significant senior leadership experience in a people, HR, organisational development or learning culture function

• Experience of developing and delivering people strategy, workforce planning, organisational culture and change at senior level

• Significant proven knowledge of UK employment law, safer recruitment, safeguarding-related people practice, employee relations risk and workforce governance

• Experience of advising Chief Executives, Executive Teams and senior managers on complex people, culture, organisational change and employment risk matters

• Ability to prepare and present strategic reports, Board papers and workforce analysis

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use workforce data, evidence and insight to inform decisions

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and engage credibly with the Board, Executive Team, managers, staff and external stakeholders

**To be considered for this position you must have a CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent senior professional experience in people, organisational development or learning leadership**

The successful Director of People and Learning Culture will receive an excellent salary up to £90,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 40 hours a week. In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive the following generous benefits:
