About Young People's Shop:

YPS is a charity which offers free and confidential support for young people aged between 11 and 25 who are struggling with their mental health, our aim is to help young people overcome challenges, improve their wellbeing, and reach their full potential. through counselling, advice, mentoring, and practical support, we empower young people to make positive choices and build brighter futures.

We are based in Chichester but aim to ensure that every young person in Chichester and Arun Districts can access help and advice when they need it.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new role within a small, friendly charity. You will build relationships with local businesses, schools, clubs and community organisations; develop sponsorship and Charity of the Year opportunities; support fundraising events and individual fundraisers; and help inspire more people across our community to support our growing charity 'Young People's Shop'. We are looking for a confident, warm and self-motivated relationship-builder with experience of fundraising, business development or a related field and a track record of generating income.

You will be joining an excellent team of professionals who are all dedicated to supporting our young people.

Purpose of the Role:

The Community Fundraiser will develop, manage and grow fundraising income from individuals, community groups, schools, local businesses, and events. The successful candidate will build strong relationships across the local community, inspire support for YPS’s work, and help secure sustainable funding to enable the charity to continue supporting young people.
