About the role
Frank England & Co Ltd is a wholesale memorial supplier based in Retford. We are looking for a reliable and practical person to join our factory team as a stone polisher.
The successful candidate will polish and finish granite memorials to the required standard before they are inspected, packed and dispatched to customers.
Previous stone-polishing experience would be helpful but is not essential. Full training can be provided for somebody with the right attitude, practical ability and attention to detail.

Main duties
Polishing granite memorials and components using wet-polishing equipment
Producing a consistent, high-quality finish on faces, edges and shaped sections
Identifying scratches, chips and other imperfections requiring further attention
Checking completed work against job specifications and quality standards
Handling and moving stone safely using the appropriate lifting equipment
Following wet-working methods and other controls designed to minimise exposure to stone dust
Wearing the required personal protective equipment
Cleaning and maintaining polishing equipment
Keeping the working area clean, organised and safe
Assisting with other factory duties when required
