Summary

Role: Senior Project Manager (Civil Engineering Infrastructure)

Rate: £600-£700 a day inside IR35

Location: Skye

Duration: 4-6 months

About the Role

My Client is seeking an experienced

Senior Project Manager to lead the Civil Engineering Infrastructure and Access Road Works for the high-profile project in skye

. In this pivotal role, you will safely oversee all aspects of civil construction, coordinate design outputs with external partners, lead procurement, and manage site operations

. You will work closely with the Construction Director to integrate civil works with HV tower construction and underground cabling

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Environment: Drive zero-tolerance safety standards, conduct site inspections, and manage environmental impacts

Project Delivery & Quality: Manage subcontractor, plant, and labour resources to execute works on time and budget

. Champion defect avoidance to achieve zero defects at completion

Leadership: Directly manage a multidisciplinary team (Project, Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Managers)

Commercial & Client Interface: Serve as a key liaison to our client, SSEN, proactively managing contract risks, variations, and progress reporting

Requirements

Qualifications: ONC, HNC, or Degree in Civil Engineering

with a valid Manager's CSCS Card

Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional civil engineering experience, with a heavy emphasis on linear transportation/access road infrastructure

Skills: Strong contractual acumen, proficiency in developing RAMS, ITPs, and programmes, with a proven track record of managing complex teams
