Summary
This role is pro rata so the salary you will be receiving is £11,7 66.67 per annum for 18.5 hours/week and 39 weeks/year.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● To co-ordinate the provision of Industry Placements and experiences of work to a nominal caseload of 16–18-year-old students studying at the College.
● To ensure relevant health and safety checks are carried out for each placement.
● To co-ordinate and record details of provision for each student on the central college system.
● To develop and maintain a broad base of employers with whom the department can work with to secure suitable industry placements or experiences of work
● To provide support to the placement providers and facilitate the opportunity of future industry placements or experiences of work.
● To work closely with study programme managers and teams to ensure all students undertake industry placements or experiences of work.
● To provide students with guidance and support where needed to achieve a successful industry placement or experience of work.
● To develop and sustain good working relations with existing and new employers.
● To maintain and develop a database of suitable industry experience providers and input provider names onto the college’s central system.
● To provide regular reports to the College Leadership Team, Lead Industry Placement Coordinator and study programme managers.
● To be innovative and enterprising in arranging industry placements and experiences of work to benefit the students.
● To attend relevant external events that will lead to increased employer engagement and placement opportunities.
● To support events and conferences staged by the college and department to the benefit of students.
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam invigilator duties. The College will provide training.

WORKING WEEKS
This post is normally for 39 working weeks per year but this may be less if the post holder starts after the beginning of the academic year. Salary will be paid in equal monthly amounts across the academic year.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria:
● GCSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, or Level 2 equivalent qualification.
● Working knowledge of information technology such as e-mail, the
● internet and other software applications.
● Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
● Availability to travel between sites and will hold a full UK driving licence without major endorsements.
● Experience of working effectively with processes and systems including Excel and the Grofar system.
● A First Aid qualification or willingness to gain qualification.
