Teaching Assistant

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £95 - £115 per day

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?

Are you adaptable and confident supporting pupils with a range of mixed SEND needs?

Do you have the patience and resilience to support pupils from Early Years through to Post-16?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEND setting in Shrewsbury supporting children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of mixed additional needs. The setting provides a supportive and inclusive environment focused on helping each pupil develop their confidence, independence and engagement with learning.

The setting is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for day-to-day opportunities with the potential to move into a long-term position. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across different age groups, assist with learning and daily classroom activities, and work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support based on individual needs.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

•

Experience working with children or young people with SEND

•

Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs

•

Confidence working with pupils across different age groups

•

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

•

The ability to adapt to different pupils, classes and situations

•

A patient, resilient and proactive approach
