Requirements
You will have either a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent qualification experience.Responsibilities
You will provide a full technical, governance, data management and financial support to the City Development service. The post holder will be responsible for the compilation and reporting on the service plan and risk register, input to the City Plan, Corporate Governance returns and assist in monitoring and reporting on the Council’s performance indicators, actions, Freedom of Information requests, and risk management.
The post holder will also provide a comprehensive range of services incorporating, option appraisal processes, financial monitoring, service planning and performance reporting, strategic plan reporting, project management, record/data management and business process improvements.
The Individual
You will have experience of budget monitoring, knowledge of capital budget and monitoring process, experience of performance management and use of database to monitor progress. Working knowledge of financial ledger systems, analysis of financial data and completion of financial returns are essential.
You will have experience of managing financial resources and appreciation of aspects relating to value for money, probity and accountability along with evidence of successful leadership of teams, experience of partnership and collaborative working and working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel.
You will have the ability to present financial and statistical information to non-finance managers, to manage staff and lead a team, good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately to meet tight deadlines along with good problem-solving skills.
You will be adaptable to change and undertake training and provide training to others when required.
