Key requirements:
The qualifications are a HGV class 2 licence and experience in waster operations, ideally a qualified driving assessor too.
Previous experience in a training/coaching role, or significant experience as a driver within waste management or another service industry.
Experience developing and maintaining training matrices and competency records in a fleet, waste, highways or local authority environment.
Good working knowledge of DVSA guidance, Operator License compliance, and core Health & Safety legislation as it applies to waste and fleet operations.
NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent), or IOSH membership/working towards it — the practical floor for anyone owning a compliance matrix, ensuring credibility with HSE and DVSA auditors.

Deliver training to a consistently high standard, aligned with Council training standards and contractual/legislative obligations, tailoring content to specific operational needs.
