Summary

The Medical Director will provide visible, credible and responsive clinical leadership across FedBucks, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care across all services. Executive and Strategic Leadership Clinical Leadership and Workforce Service Development and System Leadership Statutory and Professional Responsibilities Quality, Compliance and Governance Financial Responsibilities Clinical Practice: The Medical Director is expected to maintain active clinical practice, undertaking a minimum of 52 clinical sessions per annum (equivalent to approximately one programmed activity per week averaged across the year). This will ensure continued clinical credibility, visibility and engagement with frontline services. Additional clinical sessions may be undertaken subject to service requirements and will be remunerated in accordance with applicable rota arrangements. Overall Purpose of the Role The Medical Director will be a visible and influential clinical leader across Buckinghamshire, helping to shape the future of primary, urgent, community and neighbourhood-based care through collaboration, innovation, quality improvement and system leadership. This is an opportunity to influence healthcare delivery at scale whilst improving outcomes for more than 550,000 residents across Buckinghamshire.
