ROLE DESCRIPTION
Owing to continued expansion, we are seeking an exceptional
Head of Energy to lead the next phase of growth and development of our Energy specialist site in Wallsend.
This is a rare opportunity to lead our flagship academy at a pivotal stage of its growth, with the ambition to become a nationally recognised centre of excellence for energy education, skills development, and industry collaboration.
We are looking for a dynamic and influential leader who is excited by the scale of the opportunity and motivated by the impact they can make on learners, employers, and the regional economy. A strong understanding of how to unite people behind a common vision, you will have the momentum, resilience, and commercial awareness to identify opportunities, drive innovation, and lead a growing academy towards its full potential.
Most importantly, you will be someone who gets things done, delivering measurable outcomes while maintaining an unwavering focus on quality, learner success, and employer satisfaction.
As Head of Energy, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Academy, driving growth, innovation, quality, and employer engagement. As the public face of the Academy, you will build strong partnerships and ensure programmes are closely aligned to industry needs.
We are seeking a highly credible and accomplished professional who combines strategic vision with a practical, results-driven approach. You will have:
- A strong track record of leadership and achievement within Further and/or Higher Education.
- An established reputation and trusted profile within the sector.
- A significant regional presence, with the ability to build productive relationships across industry, education, and key stakeholder groups.
- The ambition and determination to establish the Energy Academy as a national leader in energy skills and workforce development.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build engagement at all levels.
- High personal and professional standards, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
- A proactive, self-starting approach and a proven ability to deliver results.
