We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of mental health support workers in Canterbury.
You will be supporting adults to improve their daily living skills - anything from helping them manage their finances to supporting them to cook a meal. The aim is to promote the people we support’s independence so that they can gain the skills and confidence to move on into the community. The people we support have a interest in arts and music so if this is something you enjoy, you could be enjoying it together! You will also be needed to do some housework, paperwork (IT skills are needed).
Daily Duties Can Include:
· Helping the people we support to learn new skills.
· Providing emotional support, support with appointments.
· Medication support.
· Ensuring the people we support are encouraged to reach their full potential / promote their independence/achieve their goals.
· Maintaining a tenancy – budgeting, paying bills, home maintenance, dealing with correspondence.
· Facilitating groups such as outings, cooking, gardening etc.
· We support a number of individuals with keen interest in art and music.
