About the Role

Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the skills to analyse data, manage contracts, build partnerships and shape high-quality services? Calderdale Council is seeking an ambitious and motivated SEND Commissioning Officer to play a key role in planning, commissioning and securing specialist education provision for children and young people with SEND.

What You Will Do

• Commission specialist SEND provision and support sufficiency planning across Calderdale.

• Lead on the development, negotiation and management of contracts with specialist providers.

• Monitor provider performance, quality and outcomes, ensuring value for money and contractual compliance.

• Analyse data and trends to support strategic commissioning decisions and future planning.

• Develop and manage Individual Pupil Agreements (IPAs).

• Work collaboratively with education, SEND, finance and commissioning colleagues.
