Summary

Health & Safety Advisor (Hybrid) needed in Coventry, £20.29ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1768053

Hybrid Working (1-2 days on-site plus 1 office day per week for team meeting)

Applicants must also be able to travel efficiently to sites across Coventry as required.

Providing professional health and safety advice and guidance across a large and diverse Local Authority.
Supporting managers with risk assessments, audits, inspections and accident investigations.
Reviewing and developing health and safety policies, procedures and management systems.
Delivering health and safety training, information and guidance to managers and employees.
Monitoring compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and best practice.
Supporting contractor management, CDM compliance and corporate health and safety initiatives.
Producing reports, analysing incident trends and recommending preventative actions.
Working closely with senior managers, Trade Unions, external agencies and enforcement bodies where required.

You will ideally have -

NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
IOSH Membership (CMIOSH, GradIOSH or working towards Chartered status).
Health and safety auditing, inspections, investigations and risk assessments.
Interpreting and applying health and safety legislation within complex organisations.
Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures.
Delivering health and safety training and guidance to a range of stakeholders.
CDM Regulations, contractor management and compliance monitoring.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
