Overview

We're recruiting

UK-based freelance Telephone Interpreters who are fluent in

English + another language to provide

remote telephone interpreting via a dedicated app. You'll support clients across a range of sectors including

NHS and Public Sector services, helping customers with

limited English proficiency access vital support.

What you'll do

Provide

real-time, two-way telephone interpreting (English ↔ second language)

Answer interpreting requests via an app and interpret live conversations over audio calls

Deliver

accurate, complete interpretation while maintaining a professional tone

Follow confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection expectations (role requires DBS)

What we're looking for

Professional spoken interpreting experience (essential)

Fluent English + a second language (native/near-native)

Based in the UK and eligible to work

self-employed/freelance

Strong understanding of

cultural context and terminology

Community Interpreting Level 3+ desirable (not essential)

Enhanced DBS with child barring check: must hold or be willing to obtain
