About Toots Nursery
Established in 1990, Toots Nursery provides a friendly and nurturing environment for children under 5. With spacious rooms, a large outdoor area, and nearby Wimbledon Common for Forest School, children benefit from daily play, outdoor learning, and regular local trips.
What We Offer
Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship (fully funded)
Starting pay of £8.00 per hour
13–14 month apprenticeship programme
Minimum 30 hours per week, full-time role
Ongoing training, mentoring, and support from experienced colleagues
Career progression opportunities within childcare
30% Oyster Card discount if successful in securing the apprenticeship
Your Role
As an apprentice, you will learn how to:
Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
Assist with daily routines and ensure children’s safety and wellbeing
Create a positive, safe, and engaging environment
Observe and support children’s progress and development
Work as part of a friendly nursery team
What We’re Looking For
GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
A genuine passion for working with children
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Reliable and willing to learn
Childcare experience is beneficial but not essential
