Summary
This is an exciting time to join the Cardiology Department at Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Cardiology Investigations Unit offers a full range of Non-invasive Cardiology investigations, pacemaker implants, echocardiography and a mobile cath lab. The unit is rapidly expanding to support more Cardiologists and more Invasive services.
We are seeking aCardiology Investigations Unit Administratorto join ourbusy team.
The role involves mainly reception duties, like: answering queries from patients and other departments, changing appointments, customer service, booking appointments and helping patients.
It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working in an NHS environment. They should be motivated, respectful, with experience of working with the public and administrative software.

1. To be familiar and competent in the effective utilisation of the computerised Patient Administration System (Cerner system and ERS) e.g., registering patients, making and cancelling appointments, recording attendance’s, actioning DNA’s. Ensuring data entered is accurate and complete.
2. To provide a welcoming and efficient reception service. Ensure that patients are greeted courteously, helping to achieve the smooth running of the sessions in liaison with the technical and medical staff.
3. To process telephone enquiries and correspondence from patients, other hospitals, GP's and other departments within the hospital and to liaise with the technical staff where appropriate.
4. To manage and ensure outcomes for all investigations in the Department are entered daily
5. To understand and be fully compliant with the Trust Access Policy for elective care pathways
6. To work on waiting times/lists for the wide range of cardiac investigations performed by the department
