Registered Children's Home Manager

£48,000 - £55,000 + £3,000 Car Allowance + Bonus up to £8,500

We are recruiting for an experienced

Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a specialist two-bed children's residential assessment home in Buxton.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established provider of residential childcare services, supporting young people through a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach. The home offers immediate intervention, assessment and stabilisation, helping children develop resilience, confidence and independence within a safe and nurturing environment.

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the daily operation of the home

Promote positive outcomes for children and young people

Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are fully embedded

Manage, support and develop the staff team through supervision and performance management

Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and relevant legislation

Monitor care planning, risk assessments and placement outcomes

Build effective relationships with local authorities and external professionals

Drive continuous improvement and service excellence

Lead the home through inspections and regulatory requirements

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years

At least 12 months' experience supervising and managing care staff

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare

Previous experience supporting Ofsted inspections

Strong understanding of safeguarding, childcare legislation and best practice

Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

Full UK Driving Licence

Right to work in the UK

Must be aged 21+ due to industry regulations

Desirable

evel 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

Previous Registered Manager or Deputy Manager experience

Experience within therapeutic or assessment-based services
