Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dental Therapist to join Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Dental Services. 

Experience of working inNHS dentistry is essential. 

Salary is pro rata of Band 6 AfC (£37,338 rising to £44, 962 on 2024/25 pay scales) commensurate with previous NHS employment or experience. 

The post is 22.5 hours (and can be and 3 days except Mondays) for our sites  in Central Lancashire ( Bamber Bridge Clinic, Ringway Dental Centre and  Ashton Health Centre). The post is peripatetic across these sites in  accordance with Service need. 

You can be expected to work at other sites within LSCft Dental Services.

•    Perform a wide range of clinical and preventative dental procedures on referral from a dentist in line with current Scope of Practice.

•    Provide dental care on a domiciliary basis where required.

•    To participate in training and carry out extended duties where appropriate for example in conscious sedation.

•    To provide oral health advice and instruction in line with Delivering Better Oral Health and MECC.

•    Comply with National Trust and Dental Services policies, procedures and guidance, NHS PDS Regulations

•    To keep contemporaneous clinical records using the preferred record keeping system.

•    You can be expected to work at any of the sites across LSCft Dental Services.
