About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join a busy and established operation based in Stoke-on-Trent
The role provides administrative and operational support across logistics, supply chain and customer service, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, transport is arranged efficiently and communication between customers, suppliers and internal teams is maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Customer Service
Accurately input and process customer orders using internal systemsEnsure orders are processed within agreed timescalesLiaise with customers regarding order status, deliveries and queriesSupport the management of key customer accounts, including EDI accountsAssist with resolving customer service issues and delivery queriesCommunicate effectively with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Technical, Finance and Sales teamsLogistics & Transport Coordination
Arrange deliveries and collections with suppliers and external transport providersCoordinate bookings with external cold storage providersArrange transport bookings with approved hauliersMonitor daily transport schedules and ensure all relevant documentation is completedSupport drivers and customers with delivery and transport-related queriesAssist with resolving delivery delays, shortages and collection issuesMaintain accurate records of supplier delivery schedules and stock movementsWarehouse & Distribution Support
Produce and maintain accurate loading manifests for Goods In and Dispatch teamsEnsure all relevant paperwork and documentation is completed accuratelySupport the smooth movement of goods between suppliers, warehouse and customersMaintain accurate records of stock movements and delivery informationReporting & Administration
Produce regular reports and KPI information for senior managementMaintain accurate databases, records and documentationHandle and manipulate large volumes of data accuratelyUse Microsoft Excel to produce reports and analyse informationSupport the wider logistics and supply chain team with general administrationAbout You
Previous administration experience within a manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or distribution environmentStrong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departmentsExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeExperience manipulating large volumes of dataStrong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tablesThe ability to prioritise workload and work effectively to deadlinesA proactive and professional approachThe ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
