Portsmouth Water is entering an exciting period of change, and we’re looking for a Business Change Analyst on a 12 month FTC to help make that transformation land smoothly across the organisation. You’ll develop change impact assessments, guide business readiness, and support teams as new systems, processes and regulatory requirements are introduced. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll collaborate to assess risks, shape change plans, and support training and adoption. You’ll also work alongside our Product Owners to gather requirements, map processes, and create user stories and acceptance criteria when needed.
What will you be doing?
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to gather and analyse information on future processes and identify potential impacts/training needs
- Assess change impacts (on people, structures, processes and systems) and readiness, identifying risks, dependencies, and required interventions
- Develop detailed and supportive change impact assessments working in collaboration with leaders across the organisation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective readiness plans
- Work with the Training Lead to support creation of practical tools, interventions, and learning moments that help people adapt to (and embrace) change, with the aim of strengthening change capability
- Hold regular readiness planning review sessions with impacted business owners
- Provide guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the change process and training • Participate in post-implementation reviews and identify areas for improvement
- Organise and facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions
- Document business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and work tickets for delivery teams
What do you need?
Skills, Qualifications & Competencies
- Strong facilitation skills – able to run workshops with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Adaptability: Being flexible and open to change
- Ability to convert stakeholder needs into clear change management plans
- Thoughtful thinking: Analysing situations to identify impacts and training in order to make informed decisions
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support steady progress
- Strong attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture
- Proven experience in Business Change processes and training, with a track record of successful process delivery
- Proven ability to lead stakeholder requirement gathering sessions
- Proficient in presentation and facilitation, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
- Ability to develop “as is” and “to be” business process maps
If you are successful for the role, you will be required to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment checks that will include a basic disclosure check. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the national security vetting process for either a CTC or SC clearance check. Any offer of employment is conditional upon completion and receipt of satisfactory checks.
