Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected family-run service centre in Aldershot for the position of Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester. This MOT Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled automotive Vehicle Technician / MOT Testers to join a stable and friendly environment with a renowned local business.

- Competitive basic salary between £38,000 and £42,000, dependent on experience

- Monday to Friday working hours, from 8am to 5pm, with no weekends or bank holidays

Duties:

- Conduct Class 4 MOT tests on cars and light vans in compliance with DVSA standards

- Perform routine vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs as required

- Maintain accurate documentation of all vehicle test results and service records

- Ensure all MOT activities adhere to DVSA MOT Testing Scheme guidelines

- Maintain the cleanliness and operational status of MOT bay equipment

- Support vehicle health checks, safety inspections, and post-repair assessments

- Assist during vehicle diagnostics and additional examinations when required

- Uphold the safety, security, and integrity of the MOT scheme at all times

- Deliver high standards of customer service and technical expertise within the team

Requirements:

- Fully qualified MOT Tester with a valid Class 4 certification

- Previous experience conducting MOT tests on cars and light vans

- Basic knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repairs

- Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced automotive environment

- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to safety standards

- Valid MOT Tester’s certificate, or a recent qualification for re-examination

- Proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and compliance
