A well-established organisation based close to Darlington town centre is seeking an experienced Treasury Assistant to join their finance team on an ongoing temporary basis. This opportunity has arisen due to a period of business transition, making it an excellent chance to gain valuable experience within a busy and supportive finance function.With free parking, an immediate start is available. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with treasury, banking or cash management experience.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's treasury activities and ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of cash flow and banking transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Daily cash management and cash flow reporting

✅ Monitoring bank accounts and reconciling transactions

✅ Processing and authorising payments

✅ Supporting forecasting and liquidity reporting

✅ Investigating and resolving banking queries

✅ Assisting with treasury controls and compliance procedures

✅ Preparing treasury-related reports for management

✅ Liaising with internal departments and external banking partners

✅ Supporting finance projects during a significant business transition period

About YouTo be successful, you will ideally have:

✔ Previous treasury, banking, cash management or finance experience

✔ Strong reconciliation skills and high levels of accuracy

✔ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

✔ Strong Excel skills

✔ Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

✔ A proactive and professional approach

✔ Availability to start immediately or at short notice
