Summary

Nursery room leader – Pre-School Room

Salary: £32,000

40 Hours per week

You will be working as Room Leader within a private day nursery in NW10, caring for children aged from 2 to 5 years within a preschool room for up to 15 children This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS, and help maintain consistent standards of care and practice.

What You’ll Need

Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification

At least 3 years’ experience working as an Early Years Practitioner or above

Previous experience within a preschool or 2–5 age group is ideal, but not essential

Strong working knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development

Confidence taking responsibility for a room and supporting other practitioners

Clear understanding of safeguarding, health and safety and professional responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Lead the day-to-day running of the preschool room for children aged 2–5

Plan and support EYFS-aligned activities that promote children’s learning and development

Act as a key person and maintain accurate observations and learning records

Support and guide practitioners to maintain consistent standards of care and practice

Create a safe, well-organised and engaging environment for children

Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues about children’s progress and wellbeing

Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times
