Summary
This is a varied role requiring a reliable and flexible driver who is comfortable operating both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, as well as carrying out FLT duties when required.
Duties will include:
• Driving Class 1 HGV vehicles
• Flexibility to drive Class 2 vehicles when required
• Carrying out local and regional deliveries/collections as required
• Loading and unloading materials
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift
• Moving materials around the site
• Completing relevant vehicle and site paperwork
• Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Following site health and safety procedures
• Supporting general site duties when required
• Working within a busy recycling and materials-handling environment
WORKING HOURS
Monday to Friday
6:00am start – finish
Finish times will vary depending on the workload and daily requirements.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Previous HGV driving experience
• Flexibility and willingness to drive Class 2 (C) vehicles when required
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Accredited Counterbalance FLT licence – essential
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
• Comfortable working in a physical, hands-on environment
