A welcoming nursery in Chipping Norton is seeking a Nursery Assistant to support its Early Years team. This position would suit someone with a caring and enthusiastic nature who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a positive nursery environment.

You do not need previous nursery experience to apply. We are interested in motivated individuals who are keen to learn, develop new skills, and help children thrive during their crucial early years.

About the Role

As a Nursery Assistant, you will work alongside experienced childcare professionals, helping to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can learn through play and exploration.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting children throughout their daily nursery routines

Assisting with creative activities, games and learning experiences

Helping children develop confidence, communication and social skills

Supervising indoor and outdoor play activities

Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for all children

Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide excellent childcare

Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting children’s wellbeing

What We’re Looking For

This role could be ideal for someone looking to gain experience in childcare, education or Early Years settings.

We would like to hear from candidates who have:

A genuine interest in supporting children’s development

A positive and caring attitude

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A willingness to learn and take initiative

Reliability and a strong work ethic

The ability to work effectively as part of a team

Previous experience in childcare, customer service, education, hospitality, care work or volunteering would be beneficial but is not essential.
