Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Breast Research team at The Royal Marsden as a Clinical Trial Coordinator.

Our Breast Research team manages a diverse and high-profile portfolio of clinical trials, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical research career within a busy, supportive and experienced team.
As a Clinical Trial Coordinator, you will take day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of clinical trials, supporting studies from set-up through to delivery and close-out. You will work closely with investigators, research nurses, sponsors, pharmaceutical companies, the Clinical R&D team and other departments across the Trust to ensure studies are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with experience of working within a clinical trial setting. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across a varied workload.
Strong IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft Excel, and experience of data entry and data management are essential. Recent GCP training and either a Life Sciences degree or equivalent relevant experience are also required.
Experience within the NHS and/or oncology research would be advantageous, as would a good understanding of the regulatory framework governing clinical research.

The post is based across The Royal Marsden's Chelsea and Sutton sites, with travel between sites and home working as required and agreed with the line manager.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating the set-up and ongoing management of clinical trials within the Breast Research portfolio
• Acting as a key point of contact for sponsors, investigators, research teams and support departments
• Maintaining essential trial documentation and Investigator Site Files
• Supporting regulatory submissions and trial amendments
• Maintaining screening, recruitment, training and delegation records
• Coordinating monitoring visits, audits and responses to findings
• Supporting accurate and timely trial data management and reporting
• Monitoring trial activity, recruitment and study progress
• Supporting trial finance processes, including the timely raising of invoices
• Ensuring trials are managed in accordance with GCP, Trust SOPs and relevant regulatory requirements
