SEND Teaching Assistant - long-term, temporary and ongoing, full-time starting asap
Here is a large and successful primary and nursery school catering for pupils aged 3–11, located in Fairstead, King's Lynn. The school serves a diverse community and is committed to providing a nurturing environment where every child is valued and supported.

SEND Teaching Assistant duties:
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities on a one-to-one and small-group basis
- Assist the class teacher in adapting activities to meet individual learning needs
- Promote pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
- Support children with communication, social, emotional, and learning needs
- Help implement individual education and support plans
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND professionals, and parents where appropriate
Ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Previous experience working within a school or educational setting is advantageous
- Understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or SEMH needs
- Patient, caring, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
