  • Match learners to suitable placement opportunities based on their programme and career aspirations.

  • Complete all required administration, records and documentation accurately and efficiently.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance employer engagement and placement quality.

You'll need:

  • A relevant qualification (or equivalent experience).

  • Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent).

  • Experience of working with employers, young people or within education, training or employability.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.

  • The ability to manage a varied workload and coordinate multiple placements simultaneously.

  • Confidence using digital systems to maintain accurate records and monitor learner progress.

  • An understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality within education and the workplace.

  • A commitment to supporting learners and promoting positive progression outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-motivated, cohesive and successful team. The Health and Science department at Newcastle College has well-established relationships with employers across the NHS, healthcare and wider industry sectors, providing an excellent foundation on which to build and further develop placement opportunities.

The successful candidate will be passionate about creating opportunities that enable learners to develop their employability skills, gain valuable industry experience and successfully progress into higher education, apprenticeships or employment.
