We're currently recruiting for an experienced
Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse and manufacturing operation based on
Slough Trading Estate.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term work, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating continental shift pattern:
- Then the cycle repeats.
3 days on - 7:00am to 7:00pm
3 days off
3 nights on - 7:00pm to 7:00am
3 days off
This rota covers
Monday to Sunday, so flexibility is essential.
The Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you'll play a key role in keeping warehouse and production operations running efficiently. Duties will include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift to move stock, pallets and materials safely around site.
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Transporting products between warehouse and production areas.
- Carrying out stock movements and assisting with stock checks.
- Completing load inspections and ensuring accurate stock handling.
- Using pallet trucks and other warehouse equipment where required.
- Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties.
Please note: This role involves
a significant amount of walking throughout the shift, so candidates must be comfortable working in a physically active environment.
Requirements
- A
- Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience.
- A good understanding of warehouse health & safety procedures.
- Willingness to work rotating days and nights.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential).
