Summary
At The University of St Andrews Nursery, a rare opportunity has arisen within our dedicated team! We are currently seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and qualified Senior Early Years Practitioner to help lead and inspire our team of Early Years Practitioners within our warm, nurturing, and child-centred nursery environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality early learning and care, supporting children’s development through engaging experiences, and building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery, mentoring staff, and helping to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
You are required to hold one of the following practitioner level qualifications (or equivalent):
- In accordance with the SSSC either have:
- SVQ level 3/SCQA level 7 Social Services (Children and Young People)
- HNC in Childhood Practice
Or working towards:
- BA Childhood Practice or
- SQA Professional Development Award Childhood Practice (360 credits at SCQF Level 9)
