Summary
A Healthcare Assistant is responsible for helping patients with their daily needs whilst ensuring they are comfortable, safe and treated with dignity and respect. The role involves both direct patient care and supporting the wider team.
Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.
Assisting patients with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
Helping patients with eating, drinking and mobility.
Supporting patients with emotional and social needs.
Assisting nurses and other healthcare professional with patient care and clinical procedures.
Maintaining accurate patient records.
Reporting and changes in patients condition.
Keeping patient areas clean, tidy and well stocked.
Following infection prevention and control procedures.
Promoting dignity, privacy and independence.
Adhering to health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures.
Blackpool Teaching Hospital provide health care services across the Fylde Coast, Lancashire and South Cumbria area that is home to 1.6 million people.
A range of hospital services is provided to the 352,000 people living on the Fylde Coase and the estimated 18 million visitors who visit each year.
The Trust offers community health services to 445,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre and north Lancashire. We also provide specialist regional care to cardiac and haematology patients.
